The November 2011 ASCAP Writers’ Night, presented by the Curb College saw a new venue with a full house this evening at the Troutt Theatre. ASCAP representatives Ryan Beuschel and LeAnn Phelan kicked off the show with the presentation of The ASCAP Foundation Songwriters Scholarship to Belmont Songwriting Major, Natalie Royal. Performing student songwriters: James Ryan, Jilian Linklater, Matt Enik, and Ryan McAdoo shared two songs each and guest writer Dave Berg finished out the set. James Ryan was deemed the winner of the night and will playing at the Best of the Best in the spring.
