Bennett Farkas Wins CMA Close Up Award of Merit

Representing Belmont’s finest in journalism through his photography’s creativity and promise, Bennett Farkas received the CMA Close Up Award of Merit backstage at the 45th CMA Awards. As part of receiving the award, Farkas was a part of the photo editing at the 2011 CMA Awards.

According to the editor, Bob Doerschuk, of the CMA Close Up, Bennett “demonstrated a combination of creativity, imagination and sheer drive that stands him out. He even found time to meet and learn directly from several of the professional photographers shooting the Festival. It’s no wonder his photo of the crowd at LP Field was the lead photo in CMA’s post-Festival press release. He’s that good.”

Hailing from Franklin, TN, Farkas is a senior in the Design Communications department with an administrative emphasis. Farkas is the co-founder of the Golden Spiral Creative helping acts with video, social media, Web design, and many other facets of business. Currently, the company is working with Michael Blanton’s Be Music and Entertainment artist development agency and the reality show “Troubadour TX”. Simultaneously, Farkas is launching WePicture.Us, offering professional-quality interactive photo booths. Bennett Farkas’ work can be viewed at http://BennettFarkas.com.
